Privacy Policy
How this site handles data, cookies, and third-party services. Short, honest, and plain-language.
This page explains what data fireman.dev collects, how it is used, and the rights you have over any data that touches this site. The site is operated by Firmansyah Helmi Kurniawan (Firman Kurniawan) as a personal digital identity hub and portfolio.
Data We Collect
fireman.dev is a statically generated personal site. The site itself does not collect personal data through forms, accounts, or user-submitted input. The only data that may be processed is: (a) standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) retained by the hosting/CDN layer for security and abuse prevention; (b) anonymous, aggregate analytics if a privacy-friendly analytics tool is added in the future (e.g. Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics, which do not use cookies); and (c) any data you voluntarily send when contacting the site owner by email at hello@fireman.dev. No data is sold, shared with third-party advertisers, or used for profiling.
Cookies and Tracking
fireman.dev does not set marketing or advertising cookies. The site does not use third-party tracking pixels (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar). If a privacy-friendly analytics tool is later added, it will be configured to operate without cookies and without collecting personally identifiable information. You can still use the full site with cookies disabled at the browser level.
Third-Party Services
The site is served through a Content Delivery Network (currently Cloudflare). Cloudflare may process request metadata (IP, user agent, referer) at edge nodes for the purpose of caching, security, and DDoS protection, governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy. The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or trackers from external domains at runtime beyond the CDN itself. Embedded external links (LinkedIn, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, ORCID, GitHub, social media) take you to third-party sites when clicked; those sites operate under their own privacy policies.
Your Rights
If you have contacted the site owner by email, you may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of that correspondence and any associated personal data. To exercise these rights, send a request to hello@fireman.dev from the email address you originally used. Requests are processed within 30 days. This site does not maintain user accounts and does not hold profile data on visitors, so most data-subject requests are answered by confirming that no such data exists beyond the email correspondence you initiated.
International Data Transfers
The site is served globally via CDN edge nodes. Email correspondence is handled via standard email infrastructure, which may route messages through servers outside your country of residence. By contacting the site owner, you acknowledge that any data you send in that email may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 16, and the site owner does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through email contact, please notify hello@fireman.dev so the data can be deleted.
Changes to This Policy
Material changes to this privacy policy will be reflected by updating the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Significant changes, if any, may also be announced on the site's RSS feed (https://fireman.dev/rss.xml).
Contact
For any privacy-related question or request, contact the site owner at hello@fireman.dev. For verifiable data-subject requests, please use the same email address you originally corresponded from so the request can be matched.
